If you are reading this book, then chances are you’ve already made the commitment to lose weight and have made some changes in your workout routine and diet and want to get a jump-start. You just want to make sure you’re on the right course. Well I’m here to tell you, you are! Diet plays a big factor in weight loss. In fact, you can exercise for hours on end but still not lose weight if you eat the wrong kinds of food. You will learn in this book what foods to eat and how to prepare your meals so that you can start burning off fat in the least amount of time possible! In this book, you will find my meal plans are easy to follow and one that you can enjoy. I will show you some samples of meals that I usually have. This are not set in stone so you can make some revisions to suit your taste but follow the guiding principles.

Before we proceed, here are some answers to questions you might have about the program. These are some important points you need to know before you get started.

What is the 7 day program all about?

This 7 day program is a short diet program designed to wean you off sugars and processed foods. In this program, you will learn to eliminate all refined carbs, sugar, grain products, corn or soy and processed/packaged or diet foods. This is a low-calorie, low carb, high protein diet that will kick start your metabolism and enable you to achieve the permanent weight loss you’ve so long desired.

How will eliminating all sugars, processed foods and refined carbs help me in my weight loss efforts?

Sugars, processed foods and refined carbs are known to spike your insulin levels. Insulin is a very significant hormone in weight loss because it is responsible for fat storage. When you eat refined carbs such as those found in white sugar, bread products and processed foods, they cause an excessive increase in your blood sugar, which gives you a transient burst of energy. The increased blood sugar levels in turn stimulate the overproduction of insulin.

High levels of insulin cause a sudden drop in your blood sugar causing you to feel lethargic and fatigued. This sudden drop in blood sugar will leave you feeling hungrier than you were before making you eat more in your next meal, which will completely negate all your weight loss efforts. And so goes the vicious cycle. So eating the right types of food that will stabilize your insulin and blood sugar levels is essential for successful weight loss.

Can I change the meals if I don’t like them?
We all have different tastes and I completely understand that some of these meals may taste great to you and some may not. You can change your meals by choosing the breakfast you like, the lunch you prefer, etc. You can interchange them to create your own meals. You can have the breakfast of meal 5 if you don’t like the meal 2 breakfast. Each meal can be substituted for another. Just don’t substitute a breakfast with a lunch or a lunch with a dinner.

Only substitute the same type of meal that is breakfast with breakfast, lunch with lunch.

Are these meal plans enough for my calorie needs?
Usually 1600 calories of the right food combinations is enough to sustain most people from being hungry while at the same time burning off body fat fast. If you think you need more calories, you can increase your protein serving by 1 ounce at a time. For instance, instead of a 4 oz sliced turkey, increase it to 5 or 6 oz if needed.

Keep in mind that these meal plans are only to be followed for 7 days. If you feel your calories are a bit low during this time, that’s ok. You will be returning to your regular Meal Plans as described in the Recipes Book included with this course. These 7 days are just a “kick start” to your
